A sculptural scarf designed to frame the face like wearable art.
Hand-felted from superfine merino wool and plant-based fibers including viscose and Tencel, this one-of-a-kind scarf combines rich burgundy with blue, violet and softly muted color transitions, accented by delicate touches of warm golden fiber.
The naturally undulating edges create volume and movement when worn. A sculptural collar rises around the neck while the lower portion falls into dimensional folds. An integrated felted loop allows one end to pass through and holds the scarf naturally in place without requiring a separate pin or fastener.
The fibers and colors are felted directly into the wool, creating the subtle irregularities, texture and color transitions characteristic of handmade wet felting.
Each Gelme's Designs piece is created individually by hand, making this scarf one of a kind.
